Krop was founded in 2011 and soon became the 3rd largest citrus exporter in Greece, holding a 10% market share. Krop is one of the fastest growing Greek companies, surrounded by professionals with high experience in the agriculture sector and emphasizing in sustainability, practicing contract farming.
Krop was acquired by Fruvenco, a team backed by SMERemedium Cap, in March 2021. Fruvenco’s main goal is to create a new chapter in farming and in the distribution of fruit and vegetables in Greece. To achieve this goal, Fruvenco gathers the leading companies in the fresh produce sector and ensures high quality products, creating new varieties, offering premium quality and availability, and reducing the environmental footprint.

Krop implements a water reducing program along with renewable energy sources, uses advanced technology equipment in order to reduce CO2 emissions, applies controlled irrigation to lower water consumption and reduces chemicals and pesticides in the fields, with commitment to deliver safe, qualitative products respecting both humans and nature. All packaging materials used, are recyclable and environmentally friendly.
